In this casual stream I started with a simple male face basemesh and showed how far you can push it by tweaking the lowest subdivision level. Using reference from bald uakari monkeys (those striking red-faced primates), I reshaped the mesh to match their proportions. Along the way I talked about when a basemesh helps and when it starts to hold you back… design and appeal come first, and if the geometry gets too stretched you can always retopologise and keep going.
