Creating a turn table with your character

When you want to do a quick presentation of your ZBrush sketch or showcase your model, a turntable is a pretty simple thing to do and looks great...

Creating a turn table with your character

All it takes is clicking the 'Turntable' button from the Movie palette in ZBrush and you'll get something like this:

It looks ok... and it does the job, but you can actually enhance the presentation quite a bit with just a few more minutes of preparation.

Turntables in ZBrush actually work with BPR settings and filters, so you can tweak your shadow properties, enable a few BPR filters and even play with the Adjustments to get something more interesting at render time:

If you like this look, you can download the Render Preset here. Once downloaded, you can import the preset into ZBrush from the Render palette. The preset should change your render settings and add all the Filters I used.

Once you have your settings the way you want to, you can click BPR to produce a render and immediately after (while the render result is visible), you can click the Turntable button to generate the entire turntable with the render setting.

ZBrush is going to take a bit longer since it has to render each frame with the settings you setup, but the result is much more interesting as a presentation than the first one I showed you in this email.... here is the improved version:

That's it for this tip! just a quick an easy rendering/presentation tip.
